FAMILY TIME!

Good Afternoon Friends! The beautiful Fall day reminds me of my mom. She loved cooler weather, the changing colors of the trees, and probably having her kids going back to school after the three months we were all off for the summer. LOL! Mama has been in Heaven for almost 5 years now. I miss her counsel, and companionship daily. Dad went to Heaven 14 years ago, and I miss his hugs and very timely advice. I am so happy to have loving memories of them both!

Today, as I stopped to see our childhood home on the Nauvoo Road, I was greeted by the woman whose family purchased it recently. What a pleasing site to see a family enjoying the scenic river road, and expanding the property.  It was a very nostalgic day for me and my siblings. I forwarded new pictures of our past home onto them. Their thankful comments reminded me of how blessed we were to live in such a great era, with unique surroundings, and thousands of acquaintances and friends we got to know, as our father, Captain Don Gray, paddled the Addie May Excursion Boat up and down the Mighty Mississippi River, alongside our beautiful mom, Marlene.  Their memory remains forever implanted in  thoughts. Thank God for good family!

Despite the devastating events of Covid-19 this year, we've experienced some good times with our families, and built new and wonderful memories. I hope that's true with you too. Time flies by too quickly for most of us. I encourage you to interact with your family so you can create wonderful memories like I've had of my family.

God created His family and intended to interact with them on a moment to moment basis as a good father does.  Despite the fall of mankind, God hasn't changed. He still wants to be with His family. It's His heart's desire to spend time with you. So take some time to spend with your loving, Heavenly Father today. Your memories will be sweet, as He encourages you, instructs you, loves on you, and guides your every step towards your future.

In my book, My Journey To Healing, I share how important it is to remember that God is a great Heavenly Father, and His grace, is here for you whenever you need it. Keep your mind on the finished work of Christ, which included healing. There is nothing your Father has left unfinished. As the apostle Paul wrote in John 3:2, "Beloved friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way, and that you continually enjoy good health, just as your soul is prospering. " TPT That is my prayer for you today,

Enjoy this Fall day! Until next time, be Greatly blessed, Highly favored, Deeply loved, Magnificently healed, and Hugely prosperous!

New beginnings

I haven't published anything for a while, but felt compelled by the Lord to update my blog today. Time gets away from me as I get involved with many activities that I love. Bible study, jail ministry, addiction support group, and Healing School keep me busy. I enjoy reaching out to help those that are lost in this world, just like Jesus did.

Today at Healing School, we were reminded how important it is to JUST DO WHAT THE LORD ASKS US TO DO! Although our lives are mundane at times, we must stay the course. God is in our future, preparing for us our glorious destiny. Many have said this will be the year we walk in the fullness of  the plans and purposes of the Lord. The enemy always fights the plan of God, but as we believe God's word above all over voices clamoring for our attention, we'll hear and complete the assignment he has for us.

We are greatly favored, highly blessed, and deeply loved by Him. There are many adjustments in this existence called life and we cannot do it on our own, but as we allow the Holy Spirit to be our Helper in every area, we can win the battles we face. Take heart today that God's got you and that His plan for you will prevail. Love God, love others, and love yourself. Everything will work for your good. Peace to you tonight!

God's Grace is here!

A whole year of adventures under my belt since I last wrote a blog back in 2016, starting with several souls saved through Jail Ministry for Jesus. All praise goes to God! I am believing for God to use me even more in the months to come, as He's broadening my path so I can share Jesus with others that are lost, hurting, and imprisoned in their souls.  The good news of the gospel always sets the captives free!
I have been meeting new acquaintances and revisiting old friends of my past. I've always believed that good friends are the spice of life, and that's been proven over and over in most recent months. I am thankful for the people God has connected me with at work, at home, through Facebook, and yes; even at Walmart. I've been privileged to pray for many and have experienced God's healing touch in the people's lives that God has sent across my own life path.
Healing School on Thursdays is growing, not only in numbers, but in significant revelation of who Jesus really is to us here in this tri-state area. We, together, have learned more about the healing power of the Lord, are encouraging one another in the word of God, and praying to get results. Getting to know the Lord through relationship has been blessing our hearts deeply.  The women coming to the open group are eager to be instructed and believe God for more of the promises of His to come to manifestation! The Grace of God is being taught and received! It really is the person of Jesus!
We had family fun camping last summer with the grandkids, I've been blessed to have. Only the Creator could do so well!! Each and every grandchild, with all their distinct personalities, have expanded my heart for more joy and wonderment. My kids have grown exponentially  in their knowledge and relationship with their Lord. They certainly know much more than I did at their age, which I'm so grateful for. We are all believing for restoration in every area of our lives. We've been given much to be thankful for. God's plans for us are more than we could dare ask, think, or imagine!
My book has been given to several people needing miracles. It's a resource that can help them to not give up. I reread it myself a while back, and was reminded of the faithfulness of God. The scriptures I use from the Bible have the power to change lives, heal bodies, and restore a person's soul, because it's God's thoughts & words that have power to recreate. I have plans to get my book in more prisons this summer, as well as magazine ads. I will keep you all posted on the rest of the year's progress. My book is still available locally at Walgreen's, through Certa Publishing, on Amazon, or Barnes & Noble as an Ebook.
Until next time, know that you are greatly blessed, highly favored, deeply loved, magnificently healed, and hugely prosperous according to the Word of God. Believe it, receive it, and walk in the finished work of the cross! He did it all for you!

This month has flown by! It's hard to believe I've been out of school for almost a month. I've been visiting friends, picking blueberries to store in the freezer, and doing some baking that I enjoy so much. Mark and I just got back from camping in Indiana too.
The grandkids are visiting, and staying overnight, which is one of my favorite pastimes.
A revelation came to me yesterday, after sending one of the grandsons home after a three-day visit this week. I understand now why my mother-in-law stated that women should have their children and grandchildren when they're young!  Ha! The grandkids are so much fun to have over! I love watching them express their ideas and interact with one another, however, I was certainly ready to rest this week!
I've spoken to several people in the last few weeks about my book. One lady I saw today reminded me how she'd bought my book at Walgreen's for her sister who was battling cancer. Her sister commented that she really enjoyed my book. I needed to hear that so badly because I was starting to wonder if I was really helping people or not with my book. Another friend told me on Facebook that she'd gotten a book to give to her co-worker who needed to hear the message. My own cousin enjoyed reading my book also. Authors never know where their books will end up. So thank you Lord for encouraging me today with the exact words I needed to hear! I must continue to bless all I can with the good news of the gospel.
I'm also trying to tie up many loose ends; like getting photos in albums, perhaps painting the bathroom, and the other 101 things I could think of to do while I'm off for the summer. Doing is good, but must not precede hearing from the Master! So many things can draw our attention away from what is truly important. Jesus spoke to Martha in Luke10:41-42 concerning this same principle. "And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things; but one thing is needful; and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her." Jesus was telling Martha to quit being careful and troubled (worried) about serving Him. He wanted Martha to choose to sit at His feet, like her sister, Mary, had done and hear His words of life.
This is a perfect illustration of our lives at times. How often have we rushed to get things accomplished, only to find ourselves so worn out and frustrated at the end of the day?  We must first choose to be in His presence, hear Him guide us and speak words of life to us to start our own journeys that day.  He knows all we need to know about every situation and circumstance we find ourselves in daily. He's the one we need to spend time with FIRST!
So today, I hope you were encouraged by this post. I encourage myself also as I write. :) Have a wonderful summer, full of fun, sun, and THE SON! May you rest in Him and allow Him to work on your behalf. His love for you never fails. His grace is all you need! Until next time, keep trusting Jesus for your every concern. He loves it when you draw on His wisdom, provision, and care. Peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ.

It's finally spring! School's almost out and birds are chirping as I awake every morning. I am thankful for this time of year. Many become refreshed in this season; I'm one of them. Back in February, I spoke for a great group of women from a church in my town. They were receptive, kind, and so attentive. After speaking, my host, who has a heart for people, made some interesting comments. She hopes we as a "church family" would come together more as the body of Christ, renew our commitment to win the lost, and actually become who we were meant to become while on this Earth. I totally agreed with her, and am trying to remind myself daily what life, right here, right now, should be, according to God's Word. In March, I spoke in Hannibal, MO to another wonderful group of ladies at their prayer meeting. So full of life they were! I was truly blessed by their cordial kindnesses and true worship of our Lord Jesus. They welcomed me with great love and support, for which I'm eternally grateful and have asked me to come back to teach on healing. It is so much fun to be in the right place at the right time. I thank the Lord for arranging such meetings, to glorify Him!! Today, wherever you're at in life, take the time to really get to know the Lord more. I intend to do the same. There's nothing that can replace that dynamic relationship we've been granted by God Himself. Go in peace, rest in the finished works of the cross, and go help someone know what you know. Your life will never be the same. We're in the "Kingdom Age" to rule & reign with Jesus! Let's do it together and watch the world become a better place! Until next time, keep praying, believing, and winning the lost souls. Shalom

2016-The Year of The Great Breaking Loose!

Another year has come and gone. Christmas celebration was again great at the Weirather household! I got to see everyone, all my kids, grandkids and I even got to see my son, Danny, in Wisconsin for a brief visit. God is good! With a brand new year ahead of us, let us stay focused on our bright future! Jesus is coming someday, but we must continue to reach the lost, comfort those who mourn, and be willing to help the people God puts in our paths everyday, until he arrives.  He will never leave us to do all those endeavors on our own. It's time to surrender to Jesus all your impossibilities, and say, "I can't do it, but You can!" God's grace and sufficiency is only a prayer away! Ask and receive, so that your joy will be full.

I hope you'll take the time to read the following "A word from the Lord-2016, by Jerry Savelle. I believe it will encourage you to know God's faithfulness.

”Extraordinary things are taking place in the heavenlies and 2016 will come to be known as THE YEAR OF THE GREAT BREAKING LOOSE
More and more notable miracles will break loose in the earth
More and more signs and wonders
More and more angelic visitations
More and more instant healings
More and more deliverances from demonic activity
And more and more finances will break loose so My people can do more for the Kingdom, saith the Lord
And during this time of THE GREAT BREAKING LOOSE, the enemy will no longer be able to hold back that which My faithful ones have stood in faith for, not even the things that looked as though they would never come to pass
For I will cause them to break loose and to SUDDENLY manifest and to do so in such a way that no one will be able to deny the greatness of your God
Yes, 2016 will be a year in which the FAITHFUL shall be rewarded beyond their highest expectations and they shall abound in My blessings as never before”

Given to Jerry Savelle from October 2-4 2015

May these words comfort your heart and bring new expectancy to your life as you live day by day with Jesus! You're not alone! Happy New Year!

Fall is here!

As I looked out my window this afternoon, I noticed the leaves falling off all my backyard trees. Yes, fall is here! Where has the time gone this year? I am anticipating cooler weather, hot tea, sweatshirts & jeans, baking, and candle burning again though! I've had to remind myself that my book is not me, only my experience with the Healer. I must live in the moment and not miss the important events in my life, so book events have had to take a backseat.  I've been back to school for almost a trimester now and that has taken up much of my time. Exciting football games, watching my grandsons have taken priority too. There have also been fun birthday parties, church and family time as well, that I love.  However, my book has done very well at Walgreen's, in Keokuk, this last summer. Additionally, all my books sold at the Wildrose bookstore in Iowa City Hospital, which I will replenish. The Lost Canvas, Willow Tree, and Java River here in Keokuk have my book available for purchase. The Bookmark in Ft. Madison still has a few, as well as Burlington Christian Gift & Book Shoppe if you're in that area. The Quincy, Mall will be having a book-signing on Black Friday. It will be held at Quincy Books (Quincy, Illinois) on November 27, 2015 from 9-1pm. Several local authors, including myself, have signed up, so if you're out & about, please drop by to check out the new books and let a friend know too. Books make great gifts! This last printing of my book is almost gone. as I've been able to give away many who need to hear about the healing power of Jesus. God always makes sure I run into the right people that need the healing message that never changes. Until next time, "Happy reading to all you avid book readers out there!" There's nothing like curling up on the couch with your favorite book is there? I will leave you with this quote from page 89 in My Journey to Healing: "Do Not Give Up! Grace Will See You Through.
